Tools: SOMap (analyzed and visualized the incident data)

First, we looked at the number of terrorist attacks in Europe and inputted the data into
the SOMap tool from Aalto’s new media lab. The tool transformed the data into a
polygon map. We then suggested that this polygon map could be converted into a 3D
structure for better data explanation.

- Transferring 2D data into the 3D structure for analysis

After analyzing the terrorist attacks in Europe, we conducted visual experiments. We
observed that areas with no recorded attacks present a white area, symbolizing peace.
We incorporated colours from international flags to represent narrative structures,
employing gradients to show that viewers see with tears.

- Using data turn into the poster and visual identity system

Narrative Structures。
